On 13th September 2022, Ambassador Opunimi Akinkugbe visited the British Residence in Athens to offer condolences on the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

She was received by H.E. Mathew Lodge, the British Ambassador to Greece and signed the condolence book on behalf of the Government of Nigeria.
