Transit visa is for passengers who have onward ticket to the next destination where entry is guaranteed and wish to enter Nigeria before proceeding on the onward journey. 

Eligibility

Foreign Travelers wishing to enter Nigeria for onward destination outside the country

 Requirements

1. Valid passport with at least 6 months and 2 blank visa pages
2. Two (2) recent passport size photographs
3. Confirmed ticket to the next destination outside Nigeria
4. Evidence of sufficient funds
5. Evidence of hotel reservation

 Procedures

1. Apply through online visa application system on https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/ and print completed form.
2. Pay online and print payment receipt.
3. Proceed with the completed form, payment receipt and all required documents for in-person submission, biometrics and interview at the Embassy. 50 Euros service fee applies.

 Important Note:

• Duration of stay for Transit Permit: not exceeding 7days
• Valid for single entry
• Visa appointment days at the Embassy are on Mondays and Wednesdays; from 10am – 2pm
